The Wildiers family originally started as farmers growing chicory in open fields and selling their produce at farmers' markets. To prevent food waste, they began transforming surplus vegetables into pickles and jam. This inspired the Wildiers parents to start a small artisanal jam and jelly business in 1985.

In 2006, their daughter Emilie took over and expanded the product range. Wildiers quickly became known for its high-quality jams and unique preserves, including quince jelly, fig confit, strawberry jam, and elderberry syrup. "However, our true specialties remain our chicory jam and confit," Emilie emphasized. "After all, we come from a chicory-growing family and are located in the heart of the chicory region."

At the end of 2018, Emilie passed the family business on to entrepreneur Renaud Craenhals, who continued the tradition with great passion. In 2024, a new chapter began: ambitious entrepreneur Thierry Vandererfven from Kortrijk took over Wildiers and continues to carry on the artisanal craftsmanship with the same dedication.
